The furoshiki dates back centuries as a way to cover gifts, transport items and hold belongings—depending on the technique of folding and tying.  The cloth is 100% cotton and made from Japanese fabric. Unlike disposable wrapping paper, the furoshiki can be reused by the recipient in their own gift-giving or their daily life. Folding and tying techniques are shown in a handout that comes with every gift set.
